Class II and III asbestos work and a negative exposure assessment has not been conducted by the employee.Ģ. Employher will provide a half mask air purifyinhg respirator, other than a filtering facepiece respirator, equipped w/ HEPA filters whenever the employee performs:ġ. ![]() The respirator will provide adequate protection to the employeeĭ. An employee chooses this respirator andĢ. Employer shall provide a tight fiting powered, air purifying respirator in lieu of any negative pressure respirators, whenever:ġ. Employer shall provide HEPA filters for powered and non-powered and air-purifying respirators.Ĭ. When less than 25sqft of roofing is removed in an intact state -> HEPA Vacuuming and wet methods are nott* required.ī. Roof level heaitng + ventilation shall be isolated or the ventilation system shall be shut downĨ. Upon being lowered, unwrapped materials shall be transferred to a closed receptacleħ. If kept on roof, must be kept wet, or be placed in an impermeable waste bag.Ħ. ![]() must be lowered off roof by end of shift. ![]() ACM removed from a roof must NOT be dropped to the ground When the surface is smooth, above mentioned dust control methods may be used, along w/ gentle sweeping + wiping up dust along cut line (dust must be wet)ĥ. When removing built up roofs w/ asbestos containing roofing felts and an aggragate surface using a power roof cutter, all dust shall be collected by a HEPA dust collector or by HEPA vacuuming along the cut line. Cutting machines shall be continually misted during their useĤ. Wet methods shall be used to remove roofing materials that are not intactģ. Roofing material shall be removed in an intact state to the extent feasibleĢ. ![]()
